While we had to call off performances due to the Covid 19 pandemic last year, thankfully, we were able to regroup once the ‘second wave’ had past. We were thrilled to be able to hold two performances this year before the start of the Easter break. Two of our alumni, Naliyah Santos-Osman and Damien Tsikos, were able to join us and resume their leading roles in the play.
In true Bushwillow fashion, it took the concerted efforts of our extended school community to make the play possible. Not only are we indebted to Anne Keating, who both wrote and directed the play, but also to our teachers and children who pulled out all the stops to provide and create costumes, bead work, props, sets, lighting and make up. The exquisite backdrop of a rural village scene was hand painted by Michelle Daykin, a Bushwillow grandparent.
Our special thanks go to Anne Keating for her tireless work and to all those who made this enriching experience possible for the Bushwillow children. And, of course, a special shout out to all the Bushwillow actors, singers and dancers who put on two wonderful performances. Bravo!
