The hard lockdown in our country means a loss of income for many people, putting many members of our community in a vulnerable position. We have been proud on the ways in which our school family has been supportive in various ways:
- Supporting the local soup kitchen: our Grade R-2 teacher Xabsi is cooking meals for 80 people in a local soup kitchen established during lockdown.
- Sewing masks: co-teacher Portia has started sewing masks to make these available to her community members.
- Supporting school fee payments: with some parents struggling to pay their school fees, various other school parents provided donations to cover these shortfalls.
A big thank you to all for your generous contributions!
