Bushwillow Camp
From 4-8 July Bushwillow school organised its first holiday camp at Beehaven farm. A total of 13 children in the age of 4-14 joined us for a week full of fun and adventure! The programme included a lot of outside activities such a kayaking on the Bushman’s River, ringing birds with a professional bird ringer and nature walks, while children were able to express their creativity through painting, wood work, pottery, dance and lantern making. In between, there was sufficient time for children to explore the farm to build their own tree houses, jump on the trampoline or to play hide and seek. The camp provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to engage with children of different ages, to work in a team, and to step out their own comfort zone and try and discover new things.
Bushwillow camp will be an annual fundraiser for Bushwillow school; so for the ones that missed out this time, we hope to see you next year!
